Nina Berre

Berre is a qualified architect and architecture historian from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. She is director of Architecture at the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design in Norway and currently head of the Board in Oslo Architecture Triennale. Berre publishes, curates and lectures regularly on modernism and contemporary architecture, e.g she curated the exhibition “Forms of Freedom. African Independence and Nordic Models” in the Nordic Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2014.

As director of Norsk Form (the Foundation of Architecture and Design in Norway), Berre was responsible for the exhibition “Detour. Architecture and design along 18 National Tourist Routes” Oslo, 2006 and the travelling version on show in Europe, USA and Asia, 2007-2010. In 2012 she co-curated “Views. Norway Seen from the Road 1733 – 2020” at The National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design, Oslo.
